I wanted to give everybody an update on what is going on in my life right now. I haven’t kept in touch with loads of people over the past year but I’m ready to admit stuff and come out about what is going on.
In April 2011, my buddies and I discovered what happy hour was. I drank maybe once or twice a week before that but rarely anything more. We started going out around our...

So for people that we’re looking forward to reading the memoir I planned on writing on here; Good news: I’ve finished the first chapter of it which details four days in Vegas with The Summer Set. Bad news: A lawyer has advised me to not post it until I have written confirmation from a specific person who is mentioned because we feel that they will have the biggest problem with what I...
Not sure if many people read my entire Elsie review (It was very long) but at the bottom of it, I wrote about a new project I am going to be working on.
I will be writing my memoirs on here starting next week. I’m really not completely sure how this will work out but once a week (I think?) I will be posting what is essentially a chapter of a memoir of my life. I might make it shorter due to...
Album Review: The Horrible Crowes - Elsie
If you’ve ever talked to me or read anything I’ve ever written, it will be very easy for you to understand how passionate I am about the things I like. Lost, Bruce Springsteen, Big Fish, The Catcher In The Rye, and especially, The Gaslight Anthem. Most people know that I am a die-hard fan of The Gaslight Anthem; Who I consider to be the best band to be started in the past 20 years....

This is going to be insanely long but I really hope you read all of it:
There are only a few interests that I have that I consider I have been exceptionally talented at: Acting, creative writing, music business/management and playing poker.
For the past year, I have revolved my life around poker. I have studied almost every theory, strategy, and idea about the game as I possibly could. I...
Album Review: Everything's Fine
This being my first blog in a very long time, I thought I’d review The Summer Set’s ‘Everything’s Fine’.
When The Summer Set released their first record, Love Like This, in 2009, their ages ranged from 18 to 20. Now, ranging from 20 to 22, they have experienced much more as their lives progressed. It really is amazing how much you can experience in two years,...

So, I’m going to make a list of my 50 favorite songs of all time. I won’t allow myself to post more than one song by each band and I will not change my original answer after I’ve posted it (If I think of a different song from a band after I’ve posted this, I’m not going to change it.) This isn’t in any given order.
1. The Gaslight Anthem - The Backseat

“Well, I do remember the swing in your step. The life of the party; you’re showing off again and I roll my eyes then you pull me in. I’m not much for dancing, before you I did. Because I love when you smiled meeting my mother.”

The humility involved in admitting to yourself that you might be falling in love with someone is an extremely poignant and intense experience. I’m really enjoying it.

“Lydia: A Goodbye & Farewell”
Seven years ago this summer, (2003) I went to see Sum 41 play a show in a parking lot on top of a bus at a mall (Weird…?) I saw the opening band and thought they were decent. Didn’t really hear much about them. I walked past a poster for the show in the parking lot and I found out their name was Lydia. This was their first show ever and I...

The road turned into a snake It looked in my veins and said, “It’s in your blood” That’s when I tried to run But it was way too dark Got scared and ran into your arms Oh, sweet chemical predicament Can’t stop, can’t change the evident Predisposed to forget the best part A story where the hero dies without regard Made sure that the needle was clean When I let...

Next week, Blockbuster will be delisted from the NYSE. Fuck yes.
When I was about 5 years old, Blockbuster was purchased by Viacom and basically became a house hold thing. I remember taking so many trips with my family to Blockbuster on Friday nights to rent a movie and sit around the TV. What I didn’t understand until I was older was the fucked up, shady shit they were doing. They started...

“When will the world see there aren’t any bad seeds? With life comes room to grow.”
I am a firm believer in redemption. No matter what a person has done previously, there is always something they can do to redeem their past. I lot of people won’t agree with this but the difference is that I refuse to give up on the people who have treated me poorly and I refuse to give up...
“I think that for me, every day would be the last day of summer. I’d be left out in the cold with no place to go. There are very few people that I can relate to. Every day for the rest of my life, no one will understand me because I’ve gone places where very few people ever go. I played the ultimate game of all; I gambled my life. You can’t go back again, you can’t go...

Five years ago, I was bored one day and decided to go buy some stuff I didn’t really need. I went to this record store in Arizona called Zia Records; They sell used records and DVDs way cheap. I went to the dvd section and saw the first season of a show called LOST. I had heard about it but only knew some people crash on an island. I saw some old friends and asked them if they’d seen...
My theory for the finale of LOST:
It’s pretty brief and to the point so here it goes. In Season 5, Daniel Faraday first said that “Whatever happened, happened.” Nothing can be changed. Then he changed his mind and said they could change the future. By blowing up the hydrogen bomb, Desmond would never go to the Island and never cause Oceanic 815 to crash.
What if Daniel Faraday...

I can not believe I am finally seeing The Gaslight Anthem live this summer! To get myself stoked, here’s my dream set-list to hear from them. This is a little fan boy-ish but this is one of my favorite bands!
1. American Slang 2. Miles Davis and the Cool 3. Old White Lincoln 4. High Lonesome 5. I’da Called You Woody, Joe 6. Blue Jeans and White T-Shirts 7. Here’s Looking At You,...
New LOST Theory:
As the greatest piece of television ever written comes to a end, I am giving my last few shots at unraveling the mystery before it is unfolded for us. My theory is that the “Alternate/Flash-Sideways” universe isn’t an alternate universe at all. They are flash-forwards, in the same sense of what he saw for Season 4. The flash-forwards are set after the finale of...
There are pros and cons of every situation. From the time I spent touring, I started to learn how to become good friends with anyone within an hour or two. This was an awesome trait to learn because it allowed me to read deeper into people at a much faster pace than I was used to. The downside to this was the same as the upside; I was able to open up and become close friends with people I had only...
I haven’t been able to relate to a song this much in a long time.
Did you grow up lonesome and one of a kind? Were your records all you had to pass the time? Or maybe you were taken by the mysteries of New Orleans? Oh, the uptight, rowdy girls of Lower Chelsea… We’re hustling under but we live in the city And we keep it down when we take a beating Yeah, we keep it down with the...
“I spent a lot of time listening to music growing up and not really talking to anybody else. You get to that age where you watch your parents figure out that something is weird. But something’s not weird too, as you get older. It’s a blending.”
Last night, I was at a party and one of my girl friends was randomly hit by a guy I had never met in my life. I tackled the guy, wrestled him outside and held him on the ground until he calmed down. He got a few shots on me and now the right side of my chest feels like shit, haha. Here’s to doing the right thing even if you don’t know how it will end up.

I’ve never felt so strange, standing in the Jersey rain. I’m thinking about what the old man said. Maybe I should call an ambulance? Carnival lights. Fourth of July. Boardwalk talk in the dead of the night. It always made you smile.
Well, boys will be boys but girls have those eyes that will cut you to ribbons...

“Where do all these songs come from?”
“My life, unfortunately.”
I saw Crazy Heart today and it was definitely one of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who is in a band, has worked in music, or enjoys country music. The harder the life, the sweeter the song.
My 21st birthday is in 13 days. I want to build a helmet with a FlipCam attached to it, wear the helmet on my birthday and see what happens. If you’re in the Phoenix area that week, get your livers ready.
Lyrics to “Birthed By Architecture” by Versus the Mirror, one of my favorite bands from Arizona.
A window is still a window even when the glass has been removed In a fight for power as I watch the world fall apart I’d offer my hand but then I’d be lowering my defenses I’m obliged; not obligated, I hope you understand Hey, I’m still here for this Dreaming...
Dumbed down and numbed by time and age
Your dreams to catch the world; the cage
The highway sets the traveler’s stage
All exits look the same
Three words became hard to say -
I and love and you
Stay. This isn’t the way you should leave. It feels like you wanted this. Now that I waited, love doesn’t feel the same. Say you’re sorry it’s not meant to be. I know you were feeling it. All that I wanted, all that I needed was changed. I feel it building up. They said the worst is yet to come. Oh god, I hope they’re wrong. I can’t face the world outside. We...
Follow me down the streams of sweat on your body. I can’t believe the lure was enough. Do you see how the wind in your hair now feels differently? Catch and release the lure above. I guess the lure was enough. Yes, your lure was enough.

I’m starting to feel saddened by the way I treat my body. Admitting something to yourself is harder than admitting something to someone else. It’s nice to know you work alone.
Best quote I’ve heard in a really long time.
“Throw reason out the window, cut logic in half, and take absurd risks as often as possible.”
-Andrew W.K.
I’m so glad I finally met two people who are moving at the same speed of life as I am. Becoming a full time adventurer with them in August. We’re gonna make a bucket list and try and complete it in three months. What are some things you want to do in your lifetime?
Here’s a list of my favorite songs I’ve found so far
Sleeping At Last - Chandeliers
Built For The Sea - Baby It’s Cold Outside
Weaver At The Loom - Without Fear of Their Return
The Getaway Plan - Where The City Meets The Sea
Great Big Plans - Gonna Be In Love
Brightwood -Taken
The Honey Trees - To Be With You
I’m on a search to find my new favorite band by the time I go to sleep tonight. I haven’t sat down and listened to a lot of new bands in a long time. Help me find some new bands I’ve never heard of! I really want my ears and heart to be blown away. If it helps, some of my all time favorite bands are Lydia, Sleeping At Last, Copeland, Death Cab for Cutie and Sigur Ros.
